Maui Pops
Orchestra will welcome the Pocket Opera
Company of San Francisco to the Maui Arts &
Cultural Center’s Castle Theater March 13
for a concert-version performance of “Elixir
of Love” by Donizetti. The Pocket Opera is
known for its witty and charming English
translations of famous operas. The
performance will include several lead
singers from San Francisco and a chorus of
local performers from Olinda Chorale/Musical
Voices Maui, while Maui Pops provides
orchestral accompaniment.
A gala dinner with the performers will
follow the opera. Tickets are $75 for the
Chinese buffet at the Yokouchi Pavilion
Courtyard, catered by the U.H. Maui College
Culinary Academy. There will be
entertainment.
Tickets are $15, $35, $45 and $55, plus a $3
